A group of mourning lawyers wearing black suits and ties gathered to accompany the body of a murdered colleague,and an explosion occurred which lead to the death and wounding of dozens of them in the city of Quetta in south-west Pakistan.
The casualties included lawyers and journalists accompanying the body of Bilal Anwar Kasi.
Gunfire followed the explosion. It was not clear who the attackers were.
Pakistani police have said they suspect the bomb was detonated by a suicide attacker.
Mr Kasi, who was president of the Balochistan Bar Association, had been shot while on his way to the main court complex in Quetta, local news outlet Geo TV reported..Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attacks. "No-one will be allowed to disturb the peace of the province," he said.
About 75 people were killed in the suicide blast on Monday,which happened at the entrance of the emergency department where the body of there murdered colleague was brought,said Mohammed Omar Baloch, health secretary of Balochistan.
He also said that they fear that the death toll could increase, as over 50 other people were wounded in the attack.
